Welcome to Moon & Stars Doulas. I’m Jessica, founder of Moon & Stars and a birth and postpartum doula, pediatric sleep consultant, childbirth educator, mother of five daughters, and perinatal professional with more than twenty years of experience supporting growing families.
This work is deeply personal to me.
I am a two-time NICU mom, a preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome survivor, and I experienced hyperemesis gravidarum during each of my pregnancies. I know the uncertainty of pregnancy complications, the emotional weight of sitting beside your baby in the NICU, the physical demands of postpartum recovery, and what it means to hold gratitude, exhaustion, joy, and grief all at once.
Those experiences profoundly shaped the way I care for families and strengthened my belief that support during pregnancy and postpartum should extend far beyond simply helping families “get through” the early weeks.
Families deserve to be nurtured, nourished, educated, and genuinely cared for as they heal, bond, rest, and grow into their new roles.
That belief is the heart of Moon & Stars Doulas.
My husband and I have been together for sixteen years, and raising our five daughters has given me an invaluable perspective on the realities of parenthood. The joy, exhaustion, uncertainty, transformation, and tremendous growth that happen each time a family welcomes a new child.
Today, my work is entering an exciting new chapter as I pursue advanced Ayurvedic training with a focus on postpartum healing and recovery.
For thousands of years, Ayurvedic traditions have recognized the postpartum period as a sacred window of healing. One in which warmth, nourishment, rest, restorative rituals, and intentional care can support a mother’s physical and emotional recovery.
I am expanding my training to thoughtfully bring these time-honored traditions into the care we provide, alongside evidence-based perinatal education and professional doula support.
Families will soon have access to an even deeper level of postpartum care through nourishing fourth-trimester traditions, restorative foods and teas, warming practices, traditional oil massage, belly binding, healing rituals, and holistic recovery support designed to honor the profound transition that occurs after birth.
This philosophy is also helping shape The Moonlit Nest ATX, Austin’s first fourth-trimester retreat for families with babies ages 0–12 weeks.
The Moonlit Nest is being created as a restorative sanctuary where families can step away from the pressure to immediately “bounce back” and instead receive permission and meaningful support to rest, recover, learn, bond with their babies, and be cared for during one of the most transformative seasons of their lives.
Whether you are preparing for birth, recovering after delivery, navigating a NICU transition, adjusting to life with a newborn, seeking infant sleep support, or simply wishing you had a stronger village around you, my team and I are here to walk alongside your family with compassion, knowledge, and intentional care.
Moon & Stars began with a belief that every family deserves to feel supported.
Now, we are building something even deeper: a model of care that honors birth, protects rest, nourishes recovery, supports the entire family, and helps parents feel truly held as they begin this new chapter.
It is our honor to serve families as they welcome, heal, rest, grow, and find their rhythm together.

As a knowledgeable and experienced birth doula, I specialize in vaginal births, c-sections, VBAC, and premature deliveries. At Mama Moon Doula, I also offer support for those seeking a postnatal retreat or a postpartum doula in Austin, TX.

As a postpartum doula in Austin, TX, I am here to meet all your postpartum needs, specializing in both overnight and daytime support. Whether you're looking for a birth doula or exploring options like a postnatal retreat, I'm here as your Mama Moon Doula to provide the assistance you need during this important time.

As a highly trained sleep consultant with 8 years of experience, I guide families through their sleep journey and help them build healthy sleep foundations, much like a postpartum doula in Austin, TX. My approach aligns with the nurturing support of a mama moon doula, ensuring that families have the right tools for restful nights, and I also offer resources for those attending a postnatal retreat.
